Graduate Learning Assistant — ECEN 3250: Microelectronics
Supported undergraduate instruction in analog electronics and semiconductor device fundamentals.
- Gave a 50 minute lecture on Common Source and Common Drain amplifiers, analog IC design fundamentals, and related concepts including channel length modulation (CLM).
- Hosted weekly office hours covering course material and more.
- Graded assignments and written exams for more than 80 students; proctored exams.
Course Assistant — ECE 330: Power Circuits and Electromechanics
Assisted instructors for an undergraduate power engineering course focused on electric machines, magnetic and 3-phase systems, transformers, and general power fundamentals.
- Hosted weekly office hours to answer questions and help develop student problem-solving and intuition.
- Graded assignments and proctored exams for more than 350 students.
Music Education Saratoga High (MESH) Volunteer
MESH pairs Saratoga High mentors with younger musicians in Redwood Middle School and the three elementary schools to practice and improve on their music comprehension. The program includes an annual nonprofit concert where donations support music education in less priveleged communities.
- Took part in the nonprofit concert and the weekly practices preceeding it as a middle school mentee; became a mentor in high school where most of the practices occurred in the weeks before the concert, but during COVID-19, I joined Zoom weekly to assist the elementary schoolers for the duration of the Spring semester.
- Led warmups and buzzing exercises for the trombone and baritone sections.
- Facilitated breathing exercises and range work to help younger musicians build their lungs and embouchure.
- Helped students work through sheet music using metronome practice and singing exercises.
- Supported the annual MESH concert, where mentors and mentees performed selected repertoire together.
Hi5 Youth Foundation Basketball Coach + Volunteer
Hi5 uses basketball as a long-term development program for underprivileged and tribal children, combining sports training with confidence, teamwork, and education goals.
- Worked with coaches across nine schools in Mumbai, including municipal and tribal residential school programs.
- Helped teach basketball fundamentals, drills, and game strategy to 100+ students.
- Designed warmups and exercises focused on basketball IQ, stamina, teamwork, and skill development.
- Supported early administrative work before assisting directly with school-based coaching sessions.
Pratham
Worked one-on-one with two students to help strengthen English reading, writing, and conversational skills. These were weekly calls on Skype.
- Prepared individualized English practice sessions based on each student's level.
- Helped students build confidence with reading comprehension and spoken English.
Aspiring to Create English (ACE)
Taught English through a school club focused on helping students develop stronger communication skills. Attended meetings and gave a presentation on an experience: trekking in the Himalayas.
- Tutored one student in English through weekly practice sessions.
- Focused on vocabulary, reading comprehension, and conversational confidence. We practiced reading books like Harry Potter.
